Canon point of entry: Directly after Rose let's go of the machine in Doomsday.
Appearance: Rose is about 5'4", and is a slender girl, a bit curvy with blondeish hair. Most of the time her hair is straight, but on occassion she curls it. She has dark brown eyes and tends to wear a bit too much mascara. She likes to wear a lot of pink, and put things in her hair like clips. She wears a bit of makeup as well.
History: Rose Tyler was born in 1987 to Jackie and Pete Tyler. Pete was the kind of guy who liked to think up little schemes to make money, which Jackie didn't really understand, though she tolerated it to a degree. They loved each other quite a lot, but they argued constantly. However, when Rose was only a couple of months old, Pete was struck down in a hit and run and died. She grew up with her mother then, going to school and growing up with Mickey Smith who was a couple of years older then her. Jackie worked as a hairdresser to support them both, as Rose went through school. When she was 14 years old, after completing her GCSE exams, she left school and moved in with a boy she was seeing named Jimmy Stone. He was 20, and she was 14. She doesn't talk about what happened much, but basically she used all of the money she'd ever earned to help him out financially, and he used her and what she had to get what he wanted. Finally she left him, with the help of her mother and Mickey, and to pay back all the money she owed, her mother got her a job at a store called Henrik's.

About a year later, Rose started dating Mickey Tyler seriously, the boy had a crush on her for many years. They continued to date all the way up until she was 19 years old. Rose was feeling a bit closed in, and wanted to get the chance to try something new, and do new things, though Mickey was content to sit at home and watch football matches, which drove her crazy. Then one night, while she was closing up for the night at Henrik's, plastic mannequins came to life and came after her. A man she didn't know grabbed her hand and told her to run. So she did. He ended up being The Doctor who saved her from the mannequins, but ended up blowing up her job, leaving her without one. He found her, and after using her semi-okay skills in gymnastics, helped him save the world from the Autons and the Nestene Conciousness, he asked her if she wanted to come with him. She was hestiant at first, but eventually said yes, leaving Mickey and Jackie both behind.

She stayed with the Doctor for quite a while, encountering lots of new and strange planets and aliens. She grew into her role as the companion, and made sure that the Doctor was never lonely. When she met Captain Jack Harkness, she developed a bit of a crush on him seeing as how he seemed to do things a bit more flashy then the Doctor. She even got to witness the death of her father, by going back in time and was there in the end (after some mishaps and a paradox) to hold his hand while he died. The Doctor, Rose and Jack wound up at the Gamestation, where thousands of Daleks were preparing to take over the Earth. The Doctor tried to send her away to keep her safe, but unable to leave him there to his fate, she opened the TARDIS and drew the time vortex into her head. She was able to go back to the gamestation and destroy all of the Daleks. She also ended up making Jack immortal, bringing him back from the dead, causing him to always come back to life each time he dies. With the time vortex threatening to destroy her, the Doctor drew it out of her with a kiss, causing him to regenerate into the Tenth Doctor.

She and the Tenth Doctor left Jack behind at the gamestation (unwillingly on her part) and for a while couldn't understand the whole regeneration process and what it meant to their relationship. But in the end, she wound up telling him that she would continued to travel with him, and they did. On several of their adventures, she meets another version of her father, and is knighted by Queen Victoria but banished immediately afterwards. Mickey even ends up travelling with them for a while, though he decides to stay in the new world when that world's Mickey is killed. He wanted to defend the earth and work with Jake (a man they met) and the other version of her father.

When they return to their own universe, they realize that both Cybermen and Daleks were invading their Earth, in war with each other. In an effort to stop them, her father, Mickey and Jake all came in through the other world the same way the cybermen and the dalek's came through, through a crack in space and time. The Doctor and Rose finally manage to suck all the cybermen and daleks into the void, but Rose is pulled along with them when she can't hold on. Just as she was about to get pulled into the Void, her father teleported back one last time, caught her and went to bring her back into his world, alive.

But it did not happen like that. Rose went right to the Hotel instead, just arriving from a rather nasty fall through time and space.

Personality: Rose is a cheerful girl, though some would say she's a bit over-emotional. She's got a very good sense of humor, and she adores travelling with the Doctor. Being young, she experiences lots of things for the first time, and is a bit naieve about some things. Even though she understands deep down that the Doctor will outlive her, that doesn't stop her from loving him completely and wanting to be with him forever and promising him to do just that. She adapts easily to her new surroundings, and will ultimately think of the hotel as just another adventure. She's tough, and doesn't let a whole lot rattle her except for when something major happens. She adores her mother and Mickey, but feels like they need to let her go and become a woman and grow up all on her own. As time goes on, she gets used to the weird things happening around the Doctor, and doesn't even bat an eyelash. She's good at thinking up things to help the Doctor out. She shows immense compassion for other species, even the Dalek that was tortured and a species that killed everyone in the complex, she prevented the Doctor from killing it, fearing both for the Daleks safety, and the Doctor's well being.
